…but not to Aptera. Accelerator #1184 checking in from South Central PA. Retired, looking forward to driving mine home for one last coast-to-coast; it will be my fifth, the others were all on two wheels.

I made the trip from Arkansas to LA and back once in the 1980s in a Grand Cherokee. In full deference to Rudyard Kipling, You're a better man than I am GonzoGeezer ... My limited experience with motorbikes was like 40 mile road trips on my brother's Honda 250 or, later, his Triumph 650 or, earlier, a friends Cushman scooter. Preferred pedal power and was much happier behind the wheel on a car when I encountered the more-challenging gravel roads, common in the state then.

Hi folks, I'm Bob Nuchow, published authored of DRIVE THE SUN (DTS). My DTS Aptera prose 7 book series began with and was inspired by my pre-ordered solar powered Aptera SEV reserved April 2022, reservation #16990 & the Drive The Lightning YouTube Channel.
I was born in NYC. I returned stateside after being deployed overseas in Berlin, Germany back to NYC upon being discharged from the Army in 1976. I relocated to Los Angeles in 1989 and left L.A. briefly owning and running an Italian restaurant in Las Vegas 1997-1999. I returned to L.A. creating national programs for 120,000 Screen Actors Guild members, producing hundreds of events for members in 18 branches over a period of 4 years.
I was fortunate and so excited to sit inside the Aptera production intent vehicle on display at the CES 2025 show in Las Vegas. I look forward to getting my Aptera to write more prose and my first novels inspired from driving and experiencing many new adventures of wingless flight with its off the grid solar mobility freedom of movement.
My solar powered Aptera prose and future novels are all dedicated to winning the revolution in transportation as a gift for children today and tomorrow to have the freedom of movement driving on and off the grid with clean, sustainable solar mobility powered by the sun in a green, and beautiful world.

Welcome Bob:
I've noticed you around the Aptera scene and it's great you found our forum. If you have an idea about how to engage the forum for your artistic efforts, bring it on. I know you're friends with Chad of DTL. I talked with him about an Idea yesterday and when I say the Drive the sun moniker, I first though Chad broke down and registered. Unlike you and me he is a young whippersnapper and is more oriented to the video than writing.
I noted your NYC roots. I was born and bred in Arkansas - wooo pig soooie - but my momma was born and bred in "Yonkers" ... so I also have empire state connections.

Thanks for the welcome! Yonkers? Yes. I visited my Grandfather, my mom's dad manybtimes in his Yonkers apartment. I have fond memories flying into JFK on a Albuquerque Redeye JetBlue flight, subway to Manhattan, then on a train passing Yonkers traveling up and down the Hudson back and forth between NYC and Albany the last years my Mom waxs with us.
I would love to be able to post and share my meme images here on tthe Aptera Forum. Don't think thatt's possible. I do look forward after signing, looking to seeing positive discussions on the forum

Bob:
I know, for instance, if you click on the full editor and preview (below on this quick reply form), it will take you to a place where I think the posting of meme images is well within the permissions for even the newest account. go ahead and try it. Hit that button instead of the submit button.
You'll note a pretty nice array of buttons from
"BOLDING" to, on the far right, a video embed button. A little over half-way you'll see a landscape illustration in a frame with the sun in the sky

Click it and this displays.
The trick here is you need to have a spot in the cloud that you can address with a your "
http:" site name.com / pictures file folder/ picturename.jpg." Just insert that address for the picture and you're good to go.
For instance, from the Aptera site, I post this 'team picture' by posting this code:
Code: Select all
[img]https://aptera.us/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/our-team-new.jpg[/img]
and you get this result:
You just got to get the image on the web and you can post as many photos as you want. And you can preview it before posting. Go for it.
