Greetings!
I'm William Hester (same handle as on the "old" forum), but I actually go by my middle name, Stewart. I reserved my Aptera on the same day that I first found out about the company, 08/17/2022, with a 400 mile, full solar configuration that included the enhanced audio and off road package. So when they made the LE announcement, I promptly changed my order in the hopes of getting mine sooner. I then became an investor about a year ago, and have Accelerator spot #1918.
I live in southwest Mississippi, and my daily work commute is about 26 miles each way, so the Aptera will fit my use case quite nicely. My occasional road trips are generally under 200 miles, so I'm hoping that the vast majority of my charging will be via solar and home charging. I've never owned an EV before, so I don't currently have a home charger. That said, my plan is to install a level 2 Tesla charger at home once I'm able to purchase my Aptera. If Aptera fails to make it to production, my next vehicle purchase will likely be a Tesla model 3 or Y, so either way I"ll be installing that Tesla home charger at some point in the next couple of years.
While I rarely posted on the previous forum, I was checking for news and updates at least a couple of times a week. Thank you, George, for giving us this opportunity to continue the "Community" experience. Hopefully it will grow and become an even better resource than the previous incarnation.
